करतारपुर (पवन शर्मा/कपिल अग्रवाल):- लड़कियों को स्वावलंबी बनाने के लिए स्वतंत्रता सेनानी एसकेएस वेलफेयर सोसायटी करतारपुर द्वारा 14 फरवरी को सुरियां मोहल्ला करतारपुर में दलबीर कौर मेमोरियल चैरिटेबल फ्री सिलाई ट्रेनिंग सेंटर की शुरुआत की गई है। इसका उद्घाटन जालंधर अनाथालय की वाइस चेयरपर्सन मैडम सुनीता कपूर और जानी-मानी सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता ने किया।
कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत गुरमती संगीत अकादमी गांव अंबगढ़ के छात्रों ने की। इस अवसर पर मैडम सुनीता कपूर ने संस्था के अच्छे कार्यों की सराहना की और कहा कि केंद्र से सिलाई का कोर्स पूरा करने के बाद लड़कियां सिलाई में पारंगत हो सकती हैं और अपने परिवार का अच्छी तरह से पालन-पोषण कर सकती हैं।
धार्मिक मंचों के धनी हरविंदर सिंह वीर, जिला गाइडेंस काउंसलर डॉ. सुरजीत लाल, चैरिटी शॉप करतारपुर के मास्टर अमरीक सिंह, नगर परिषद करतारपुर अध्यक्ष सुरिंदर कुमार, विजय ठाकुर, भरत शर्मा हेमू, बाबा गुरदेव सिंह, अर्शदीप सिंह, अमरजीत सिंह आदि मौजूद रहे।
