कपूरथला (राहुल अग्रवाल): पंजाब सरकार द्वारा भले ही नशे की रोकथाम के लिए प्रयत्न किए जा रहे है, लेकिन नशे की ओवरडोज से हो रही मौतों का आंकड़ा थमने का नाम नहीं ले रहा। वहीं मोहल्ला महिताबगढ़ में 22 वर्षीय लड़की की नशे की ओवरडोज से मौत हो गई। प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार मोहल्ला मेहताबगढ़ निवासी 22 वर्षीय युवती सोनिया पुत्री बिट्टू को बेहोशी की हालत में देर रात सिविल अस्पताल के इमरजेंसी वार्ड में लाया गया।
जहां डयूटी दौरान डॉक्टर नवदीप कौर को बताया गया कि यह लड़की नशे की ओवरडोज के कारण गली में बेहोश पड़ी थी। जिसका डॉक्टर नवदीप कौर ने इलाज शुरू कर दिया, लेकिन देर रात लड़की की मौत हो गई। मृतक बच्ची के शव को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए सिविल अस्पताल के शवगृह में रखवा दिया गया है और शहर पुलिस को इसकी सूचना दे दी गई है।
