कनाडा के टॉप 10 गैंगस्टर्स में शामिल अमरप्रीत समरा उर्फ (चकी) की गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई। अमरप्रीत वैंकूवर में शादी समारोह में हिस्सा लेने के लिए आया था। रात को डिनर और डांस के बाद जैसे ही समारोह स्थल फ्रेसरव्यू हॉल से बाहर निकला को ब्रदर्स कीपर्स ग्रुप के गुर्गों ने ताबड़तोड़ गोलियां बरसा दी।
इस हमले में उसकी मौत हो गई।वहीं उसकी गाड़ी घटनास्थल से कुछ ही दूरी पर जली मिली है। पुलिस को शक है कि उसके विरोधी गैंग ने गोलियां चलाई है। अमरप्रीत समरा उर्फ चक्की संयुक्त राष्ट्र (यूएन) गैंग से जुड़ा हुआ था, जिसकी ब्रदर्स कीपर्स गिरोह के साथ कई सालों से दुश्मनी चल रही थी। पुलिस का कहना है कि पैरामैडिक्स के पहुंचने तक उन्होंने पीड़ित को सी.पी.आर. दी लेकिन उसकी मौके पर ही मौत हो गई।
