वारिस पंजाब दे संगठन के मुखिया अमृतपाल सिंह के चाचा हरजीत सिंह ने पंजाब पुलिस के सामने सरेंडर कर दिया है. पुलिस का दावा है कि उसने देर रात 2 बजे जालंधर पुलिस के सामने सरेंडर कर दिया है. यह वही शख्स है जो हर समय अमृतपाल के साथ रहता है और हर समय उसकी गाड़ी चलाता था.
अमृतपाल सिंह के ड्राइवर को भी गिरफ्तार किया गया है। उनकी मर्सिडीज कार भी पुलिस ने जब्त कर ली है। यह सारा ऑपरेशन जालंधर पुलिस ने किया है। कार से भारी मात्रा में हथियार बरामद किए गए हैं। इसकी पुष्टि खुद जालंधर के SSP स्वर्णदीप सिंह ने की है।
अमृतपाल सिंह को जब पंजाब पुलिस ने महतपुर में घेरा तो वह भी उसके साथ फरार हो गए थे। अब सवाल उठता है कि अगर पुलिस ने उसके चाचा को गिरफ्तार किया है तो अमृतपाल को अभी तक गिरफ्तार क्यों नहीं किया गया और अमृतपाल कहां छिपा है
